Growing Community Resilience for an Abundant Post-Petroleum Future

Anyone know about any active (or now defunct) community kitchens where people can preserve their harvests either on their own or "in community" and share their bounty? Looking for connections in Bloomington or elsewhere in Indiana for a story in Indiana Living Green.

Thanks for sharing!

Check out Middle Way House in Bloomington - they are building in the former Coca-Cola Bottling Co. plant.here and are including a professional kitchen for their FoodWorks to use as well as community members with produce that requires professional kitchen. http://www.middlewayhouse.org/ -- http://www.middlewayhouse.org/newwingspartnership.html
Exciting project.
Thanks, Lu. I thought there was something in the works, but couldn't remember what I heard. That's perfect, thanks for the info.

Lynn,

Two operating commercial community-use kitchens in Indiana that I know of: Ohio River Valley Food Venture, Madison (www.foodventure.org) and the Daviess County Food Processing Institute in Elnora operated by the Daviess County Economic Development Corporation (www.dcgc.org/)
