How are you currently involved in Transition to a post-petroleum lifestlyle?
I mostly watch from a distance. However, I do have children and worry about the shape of the world we're leaving them with.
I am also a Master's of social work student interested in community organization. More in studying it, though, not necessarily participating (yet).
How do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I feel like something needs to happen. I don't know what exactly. I am not into the apocalypse. I am into backyard chickens, canning, cooking, and growing our own food. Bicycling, recycling, organic produce, the farmer's market, and Bloomington Community Orchard are my favorite things! (Some of them).
How can you help the growth / acceptance / vitality of local Transition efforts? What can YOU teach us? What can your Group teach us?
