being a leader (and what form that takes)

 I have been trying and testing the waters of self sufficiency for a few years now. for the last two I have had "troubles". they were ever present but came to a head last fall. I have waded trough to a bright future filled with goats, sheep, chickens, ducks and of course home schooling my children.

African keyhole gardening, anyone? Bluegrass Bioneers

I, too, read Keith's call to action and took his cue to take a minute to write.  I am one of those people that currently have a too large carbon footprint and need to find a job in Bloomington so I can return and decrease CO2 emissions.  I live in Louisville and just outside of Bloomington (near the IU Kent Road Research and Teaching Preserve).

Trillium Horticulture Park

I have maybe blogged three times in my life so here goes.... Where to start? 

The Trillium planning committee has been meeting about once a month for updates to the entire group. In the meantime there have been two or three meetings weekly for the past 7 or 8 months dealing with City Planners, County Council people, Community Kitchen, the local Farm Bureau Co-op, Soil and Water Conservation District, the Purdue Extention, Solid Waste Management etc. The list goes on and on and on....…
